60. Get yourself known as an expert and get featured in offline magazines, TV and radio stations.
61. Use an auto-translator service to translate your site into other languages – put it in a subdirectory and watch foreign traffic come in.
62. Make posts about sex (don’t have to post anything rude) – and watch the porn surfers find their way to your site through Google.
63. Post about celebrities current events if it relates to your niche – there’s always a lot of people looking up celebrity stuff.

65. Get some stickers with your domain name on. Go out and stick them on strangers and say “My Website Yeah, Check it out.”

Nice tips, thanks for sharing them!
But i don't recommand to buy links, Google hate that, i don't recommand to post to a thousand irectories too because most of directories are a sand sites and your domains risk to get banned from Google.

using Twitter is one way to promote our site freely,
and the site will be automatically viewed by the followers,
so if you have a blog or site and you want to promote it,
then use social networking sites like Twitter and FaceBook.
you should have accounts with these networking sites, and
the more followers you get, the more visitors to your site,
this is the great way of promoting our site online freely.

Just be careful with the traffic trades especially if you have plans of placing Adsense Ads on your blog or website. Adsense doesn't like it I think. Wow this is helpful, I even copied it on a notepad. ha ha.

Great idea  that is if you got the nerve to do it. I think I will skip this one, I don't want to end up beaten by strange person because I put a sticker on him.

Twitter and Facebook are social networks wins the most successful. There are not a fad. They have now become essential marketing tools and attractive ROI companies. The challenge is such as Coca Cola as mark which has the most fans on Facebook with more than 4,217,300 fans consider long-term move away from its official site dedicated solely to the animation of her Facebook page.

As for now, I think the best way to promote is using signature. Just comment anywhere and put your signature, as long as your signature is interesting, they will deliver tons of traffic. And probably follower

i jsut do put link in social bookmart, comment daily in other blog, and put link in my blog.
Of course i promote offline to my friend
What do you think?

Posted 28 June 2010 - 10:58 AM

    Registered User

Promoting offline is not that effective. Because your friends will just use the site for themselves, you need a visitor which can invite another visitor. Sometimes our friends just under rated our website.

one more idea that i judge very succeful in prromoting site is to make a contest.
If you have money, the best way to spend it is likely to create a contest or something like that. Imagine how many members you will get if you are organizing a contest to win an iPod for example

I think that is a good idea if you got funds and having a site. But sometimes people doesn't care about the contest. Me for example, why should I join a contest which the admin I don't even know. What prevent him to cheating ? some question like this will prevent people from joining the contest.

this needs lot of money, and i am also not sure how many will care even to open the site which we are promoting.i strongly oppose this way of promoting our online activities/site.promoting offline things in offline is great.

you can't just starting advertise your sites by creating some community or other thing's in social networking sites, coco cola would have purchased some ad space from face book.
i was going to start promoting some sites in social networking sites like orkut, but my friend told that they will ban your account if you do so also without notice.and if they ban me it will be very bad bcoz i have many friends included.

buddy, presently even admin's we know also cheats us,a god example is INVEST WORLD forum, every one believed the admin with the greatest referral contest, atlast he cheated all the members, even many members had invested a lot of money to get referrals.so there is no wrong if we do contests arranged by unknown admins.

To get backlinks I use shetoldme.com.
The site allows you to link to your own page from their site( which has a PR of 5) so you get quality, dofollow backlinks for free
What's more? You even get 100% revenue coming from your adsense publisher id when you join the site.

Of course it is wrong, Why bother join a contest that we have to lose. Just a waste of time and like you said, waste of money to get the referral.

Drive targeted traffic by offering free content to download.
Whether it's an ebook, audio, video, and offer interesting information sought by the people you're targeting for download on your site or blog. Then, simply write an article mentioning this event and publish it on diggs-likes for example.

I am already using 3 ways to get traffic and visitors to my websites and ptc sites , i prefer these 3 ways becouse i think that they are the best ways .
1- my signature in TCC and EP forums and other forums which has a high number of members
2- posting threads in many forums
3- posting the links in my blog .

the golden rule to attract traffic to your site

These exchanges banners do not bring you a lot of people. The people you will attract will not be more qualified. Glad you have 50 people who often come and participate, that 1000 people who are just passing.

To increase your traffic should already think about not losing one you managed to attract. To my taste too many commercials, it scares away visitors. Think before going to attract money.

I am interested with purchase advertising at aurora site since it is so cheap and the result is not bad, at least it can increase traffic for my blog/ site, put link in signature is a good way also but you must have much active at much section

ofcourse in aurora PTC sites the advertising prices is very very less...like about $0.50 for 1000 views but there won't be much members in such sites due to low click rates so it takes some time to get expired the 1000 views and the same member will be viewing it daily,it may be good to for getting traffic but not to get more members to your site..
